Nderitu is an Advocate of the High court of Kenya since 2011 and Partner in charge of dispute resolution at Mbiriri Ngugi & Co Advocates. He has trained with AILA, London in Investment Treaty Law and Arbitration and is currently pursuing an LLM in International Dispute Resolution at Queen Mary University of London
He is a Director of the National Committee, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Kenya Chapter. He is a certified Arbitrator, accredited as a Mediator by CIArb and the Mediation Accreditation Committee (MAC) of the Judiciary of Kenya. He is a tutor and examiner of Arbitration and mediation. Nderitu is amember of the Law Society of Kenya, East Africa Law Society, Young ICCA and ICC YAF. He is also a member of the Judiciary of Kenya Taskforce on Alternative Justice Systems and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection Taskforce on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
I am Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). I am the vice-Chairman of the CIArb- Kenya Branch. I am also an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, in good standing with a post-Admission experience of 13 years. I hold an LL.B (Honours) and an LL.M Degree (UNISA, Pretoria). I am currently completing my LL.D focusing on International Economic Law. My topic of research relates to intra-africa trade and investment dispute resolution under the continental economic regionalism. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb –UK). I am also trained as a Mediator by the CIArb-UK, under its 40 hour Mediation training. I am an Accredited Mediator both by CIArb–UK and the Court Annexed Mediation Programme (CAMP) of the Kenyan Judiciary. I am a member of the CIArb Kenya Branch Committee.
I am a member of the Task Force appointed by the Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya on ADR and specifically mandated to roll out Court Annexed Mediation and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). I am a member of the Working Group on the Review of the Arbitration Act, 1995 of Kenya. I am a qualified construction Adjudicator; trained by the CIArb.
I am one of the seven candidates shortlisted by the CIArb and recommended to the Attorney General of the Republic of Kenya for nomination to represent the state in the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
I am an Arbitrator listed on LCIA/MIAC Arbitration panel; the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA); the Kigali International Centre for International Arbitration; the African Arbitration Association (AAA) and a member of the CIArb Young Members and the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) Young Members Group.
I have published numerous articles in the area of international trade law and Arbitration, in domestic and international peer reviewed Journals. I am a Lecturer at the Riara University Law School in Nairobi Kenya. I am also an adjunct member of faculty at the Moi University School of International Relations and Diplomacy where I teach International law modules including International Dispute Resolution. I practice law in the firm of Lubulellah & Associates, Advocates specialising in Litigation, Arbitration and Mediation.
I have been engaged in over 60 Arbitrations and Mediations, as arbitrator, Mediator and Party Representative. I am also an Approved Faculty member of the CIArb Arbitration Modules.
I was recognised, in 2017, by IArb Africa as one of the top 100 Arbitrators in Africa.
